Just about five minutes after making our shore entry into the warm, clear water, Vince and I spotted the turtles – two hawksbills, just chilling in the bubbles. This was the beginning of what would turn out to be one of the most memorable dives ever. I was wearing a shortie and the feeling of the natural bubbles caressing my skin was just amazing. Spotted a squid a short distance away from one of the big bubbling vents, tried to get a close up shot but he spooked. Did notice a crab peeking out from underneath an algae mat. Try as we might, we did not spot any of the frogfish that live here, there were quite a few other divers and several snorkelers so they must have been doing their best to hide. We did see some seahorses and flying gurnards. Angelfish, flounder, and a really neat spotted eel were some of the other animals we saw. Maximum depth was just 18 feet and there was no current to speak of, making for a relaxed dive. Took our time getting back to shore.
