What are sharks?

Sharks are fish and they are like other fish in most ways.  They breathe through gills and live in the water.  The major difference between sharks and other fish is that their skeleton is not made up of bone, but of cartilage, the bony substance that forms the end of the human nose.  There are more than 350 species of sharks in the world.
