An individual can dive as long as the implant does not contain gas or air, which would include silicone, metallic, fluid-filled sacs, and composite. Implants without gas or air cannot be compressed so no danger exists but if an implant does contain gas or air, it could rupture or explode. For example, an individual that wears an artificial eye containing gas or air could experience a significant disaster.
