A six-day course in dive and hyperbaric medicine, the “Dive Away” conference is open to everyone, but it is designed with health care professionals in mind. Though learning is a big part of the conference, so is some truly fantastic diving.
Location
Each year, the “Dive Away” Hyperbaric and Diving Medicine Conference is held at a different location. This year, it’s taking place at the beautiful Sipadan Water Village in Mabul, which is located off the northeastern coast of Borneo in Malaysia.

The 2013 “Dive Away” Hyperbaric and Diving Medicine Conference is scheduled to take place from August 16th to August 24th.
Conference Highlights
This all-inclusive conference is being hosted by Sipadan Water Village, which is built completely over the water. A simple footbridge connects the village to the island of Mabul. Not only will participants enjoy their stay at this idyllic location, there is no shortage of activities. These include:
- Diving Medicine CME program (cost is $750)
- Hyperbaric & Diving Medicine Course
- Unlimited snorkeling and dives on the house reef
The cost of the conference covers transportation from the airport to the Water Village, plus 9 days and 8 nights accommodation along with three buffet meals daily. Non-alcoholic beverages are also included. 7 days diving with 3 boat dives daily plus tanks for diving the Water Village’s house reef between 6 am and 8 pm are also included.
