Even if you already have your Open Water Diver Certification it doesn't mean that you are ready for underwater photography. There are a number of diving techniques and photography techniques that you need to know before you can take great underwater photographs. You need to know how to establish completely neutral buoyancy in order to take great shots, which means that taking a specialty course in buoyancy is wise, and you need to understand the lighting and angles of the underwater world, which is what an underwater photography course will cover.
