Which diabetic divers should not dive?

Diabetic divers should not dive if they have experienced a hypoglycemic or hyperglycemic attack within the last 12 months, have other systemic problems relating to diabetes, have poor control of their blood sugar, lack insight into the relationship between exercise and diabetes, and/or unaware of the early warning signs of hypoglycemia.
