What year was the first DEMA show?

DEMA (Diving Equipment and Marketing Association) held its first DEMA show in 1977.  This non-profit international organization is dedicated to both promotion and growth of the recreational diving and snorkeling industry and global membership whereby numerous initiatives are shared.  This trade event is open only to companies in the scuba diving industry, as well as action water sports and adventure, and dive travel industries.
