How do cetaceans reproduce?

Cetaceans are mammals and this means that they conceive, carry, and birth their young in much the same way that humans and other land mammals do.  Once the egg is fertilized, the female carries it for one year to eighteen months, depending on the species.  The young is then born tail first, which is different from most land mammals.
