Do I need to wear a seat belt in another country if it isn't the law?

Road traffic injuries are the leading cause of death throughout the world.  Regardless of whether there is a law requiring that a seat belt be worn in the country in which you are traveling, you should always wear your seat belt when a vehicle is moving.  If traveling with children, be sure to have the proper child safety seats whenever possible and if riding a motorcycle, wear a helmet.  In addition, as at home, avoid drinking alcohol if you will be driving.
