Can I dive while taking a decongestant?

While a decongestant is a medication, this will be answered separately as many people take decongestants due to allergies.  The answer is yes, you can dive while taking a decongestant as it is generally used to reduce nasal inflammation and to help shrink mucous membranes.  They do not affect the ears or sinuses.  If you are taking one, make sure that you are feeling healthy and that you can still clear your ears easily.  You must also be sure that you do not have any side effects from the medication, such as drowsiness or dizziness.
