Yes and by making the right choice, using the gauges would be much easier.  Dive experts suggest an ergonomic grip, luminescent or backlighting indicators, rotating mounting although swivel works well too, and easy disassembly so gauges can be cleaned or broken parts replaced without much effort.  In addition, it would be beneficial to look for gauges with long-term warranties.
