Are there any visual concerns related to the ability to dive safely?

Yes, but most do not disqualify diving they simply require appropriate healing time or other circumstances.  For instance, for the person who has gone through lens implant surgery, the eyes would need a minimum of six weeks healing time.  Then for Radial Keratomy, which is non-laser corrective surgery, healing time would be at least three months.  For Glaucoma, diving is permitted as long as the person’s vision is not affected and for corrected contact lenses, there are no restrictions.
