Are aluminum dive tanks a good consideration?

Aluminum is a new material used for tanks, which in today’s market is the more common option. Aluminum is not as expensive as steel, the tanks are lighter and easier to carry, and when renting while on dive vacations, most dive shops offer aluminum tanks.  The downside is that because aluminum is not as strong as steel, there is slight risk of wear and denting.  However, with proper care, aluminum dive tanks are an excellent bargain.
