Am I safe once I am back home from my dive trip?

It is possible to experience late symptoms of an illness.  Be sure to monitor your health even after you arrive home and if you experience any illness, consult an infectious disease doctor.  Be sure to tell the doctor you have traveled recently and if you were in a malaria-risk area, be sure to continue taking your anti-malarial drug for four weeks after you return home.  Malaria is highly infectious and dangerous and you must watch out for symptoms of malaria for up to a year after you return home from your trip.
