Am I at risk for health hazards when I travel to diving destinations?

Yes, often times divers are more at risk of travel-related health hazards than they are at risk of diving hazards.  Risks include injuries related to something other than diving such as illness that can be picked up from the local population or from food or water, and various other types of maladies, including seasickness and heat stroke.
