The Caleta Underwater National Park is part of La Calenta Marine Protected Area, just 20 minutes from Santo Domingo. Here you’ll find a site with diverse attractions. The site offers wall, deep, reef, and wreck diving! It’s most popular feature is the wreck of a 69-foot tugboat, the El Limon, which lies on the sandy bottom, surrounded by steep coral walls. Numerous small tropical fish are drawn to the wreck area. It’s a popular site for photographers and night dives. Be careful of the depths, which descent to over 328 feet.
