The wreck of the US Coast Guard Cutter Duane was added as an artificial reef in 1987. The 329 foot cutter is subject to ripping currents, and is reserved for advanced wreck divers. Sitting upright on the sandy bottom, with her keel at 120 feet, her crows nest and mast at 50 feet, and penetration opportunities galore, the ship is magnificent. Watch for amberjack, cobia, and barracuda, plus lots of smaller fish!
