Why would I want to engage in rebreather diving?

Rebreather diving is popular among divers for a few reasons.  One of these is that it creates fewer bubbles, which is ideal for anyone interested in underwater photography and video.  The rebreather diver also has an increase in their gas reserves, which means that they can dive longer, and with oxygen rebreathers divers have a longer bottom time and no requirements for decompression stops (for CCR systems).  Another advantage to rebreather diving is that rebreather systems are far quieter than open-circuit systems.  This means that you have a better chance of seeing and interacting with marine wildlife if you are diving with a rebreather.  You will also complete your rebreather dives warmer and more hydrated than dives completed with the open-circuit systems.
