What are some scenarios in which diving-related vision loss can occur?

Diving-related vision loss can occur if one loses their contact lens, gas bubbles from under a rigid gas permeable contact lens cause corneal swelling, one’s contact lenses adhere in salt water, there is a reaction to the anti-fogging chemicals used for scuba masks, and one’s eyes are not protected from underwater welding (ultraviolet keratopathy).
