Should I dive with ear plugs?

If you dive with occlusive ear plugs, the plug will push up against the tympanic membrane which could result in a barotrauma to the ear. Ear plugs with a hole in the middle defeat the purpose.  Due to the lack of sufficient evidence, we do not recommend wearing ear plugs while diving.
