Yes, special equipment is required for altitude diving. Such equipment includes a dive computer that can be adjusted for altitude and descent lines and gauges that are designed to work in high altitudes. In addition, your gear must be able to function properly in cold water and you will require a thick wetsuit or drysuit. If you elect to wear a drysuit, you may be required to obtain a drysuit certification.
