Fortesque Bay Kelp Forest

Accordion Content

Overview

Located on the Tasman Peninsula, this site is home to huge kelp forests.  The experience of traveling through them is akin to flying through a rain forest.  Many unusual species of marine life are found here, including weedy sea dragons and bib-bellied sea horses.  In the Bay, you can dive the wreckage of the “Andre Reboncas,” which lies in shallow waters and is accessible to both snorkelers and scuba divers.
