At Blue Maomao Arch, which is located off Poor Knights Island, the action starts at about 3 meters, and continues all the way to maximum depth of just 20 meters. Here, there are incredible shoals of brilliant blue maomao, which hide in a tunnel and pack themselves around you as you swim through. Lots of other creatures here too, including lovely nudies and stingrays.
